Alexander Named Atlanta 'Housing Hero'
11/24/09
CSLR Founding Director Frank Alexander is a local hero, according to longtime Atlanta business, civic, and urban affairs journalist Maria Saporta of the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Saporta is thanking Alexander and other Altanta heroes this week on her blog, "Saporta Report." Alexander, professor of law at Emory University, made the list for his work on the CSLR Affordable Housing and Community Development project.
Bruce Gunter, co-founder and president of Progressive Redevelopment, Inc. (PRI), one of Atlanta’s largest developers of affordable and supportive housing, named Alexander and other advocates "housing heroes" at PRI's annual gathering at The Carter Center in mid-November. Gunter thanked “those whose dedication and hard work has significantly advanced the cause of affordable housing and inspired us at PRI over the past 20 years.”
