An-Na`im, Witte featured in Berkeley 'Conversations with History'

CSLR Director John Witte, Jr. and Senior Fellow Abdullahi Ahmed An`Na`im discuss their work in video interviews conducted by Harry Kreisler, executive director of the Institute of International Studies at the University of Califorina, Berkeley.

Both were interviewed for Berkeley's "Conversations with History" program while on campus to deliver prestigious lectures.

Witte, Jonas Robitscher Professor of Law and Alonzo L. McDonald Family Foundation Distinguished Professor, presented the annual Thomas Jefferson Memorial Lecture in late April on the place of Shari`a and other religious law in the West. Watch interview.

An-Na`im, Charles Howard Candler of Law, gave the annual Tanner Lecture on Human Values in March 2010. He spoke on mediating the paradox of inclusive universality of human values in the permanent reality of human difference. Watch interview.
