CSLR Senior Lecturer Mark Goldfeder gave a keynote lecture in November at the United Nations on drawing lines between religious discrimination and the First Amendment. Israeli Ambassador Danny Dagan, Chair of the Sixth (Legal) Committee at the UN, hosted an event for 750 lawyers and law students. Six former and current CSLR students accompanied Goldfeder. They were: Keisha Russell (JD 2017), Amin Sadri (LLM 2017), Anton Sorkin (SJD), Ashley Barnett (LLM 2017), Kurtis Anderson (JD 2017), and Patrik Rako (LLM 2016).

In other news, Goldfeder has joined the steering committee for the newly formed European Academy of Religion, based in Bologna, Italy. The Restoring Religious Freedom Project is part of this global project.

Additionally, Goldfeder has joined the legal team representing Petr Jasek, a Czech missionary and filmmaker arrested in Sudan for documenting Christian persecution.
