Curriculum Vitae

    Hall’s research and teaching interests include American political theory and the relationship between religion and politics. He is Senior Fellow at Baylor University’s Institute for Studies of Religion and an Affiliate Scholar at the John Jay Institute.

    He has written, edited, or co-edited nine books, including Roger Sherman and the Creation of the American Republic (Oxford University Press, 2013), Faith and the Founders of the American Republic (Oxford University Press, 2014), and Collected Works of Roger Sherman (Liberty Fund Press, 2016). He has written more than 70 journal articles, book chapters, and reviews.

    Hall holds a doctorate in government from the University of Virginia and a bachelor of arts in political science from Wheaton College.
