Cases & Briefs
Students are able to work on amicus briefs for U.S. Supreme Court cases related to religious freedom through the Emory Law School Supreme Court Advocacy Project (ELSSCAP). Additionally, students have worked on a court case assigned to Goldfeder involving a Muslim inmate wishing to grow an untrimmed beard for religious reasons.
Here are some amicus briefs CSLR students worked on:
- The Supreme Court of the United States, Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged, Denver, Colorado v. Sylvia Burwell, Secretary of Health and Human Services et al., Amicus Curiae Brief of American Center for Law and Justice in support of petitioners
