CSLR Senior Fellow Mark Jordan joined the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics at Washington University in St. Louis this fall as a Distinguished Professor in the Humanities. Prior to joining Washington University, Jordan was the Richard Reinhold Niebhur Professor of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School and Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Harvard University. From 1999-2008, Jordan served as Asa Griggs Candler Professor in the Department of Religion and the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University.

CSLR Senior Fellow Johan van der Vyer, I.T. Cohen Professor of International Law and Human Rights at Emory, and Extraordinary Professor at the University of  Pretoria in South Africa, was recently designated an A-level researcher by the National Research Foundation of South Africa.  A-level researches are recognized as leading international scholars in their fields and for the exceptional quality and impact of their research. Out of the 22 professors awarded this distinction in 2012, Van der Vyer is the sole professor in the field of law, as well as the only A-rated researcher from the University of Pretoria. Additional A-level researchers include professors of Physics, Medicine, Zoology, and Education among other fields.
