Curriculum Vitae

    Kim’s research focuses on ethics, legal theory, and the history of Christianity. His current book project, Religion, Law, and Equity: John Calvin and the Immanent Critique of Protestant Faith, examines the themes of equity, clemency, tyranny, and the rule of law in Protestant theology and legal controversies.

    Kim was previously Arthur J. Gosnell Associate Professor of Social Ethics at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. He has also taught at Harvard University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

    Kim holds a doctorate and a master of theological studies from Harvard University Divinity School, and a bachelor of arts in philosophy from UCLA. At UCLA he was editor in chief of Pacific Ties Newsmagazine.
