Modéer’s research interests include European Legal History, Comparative Law, Scandinavian Legal Culture, and law and religion. He co-edited with Martin Sunnquivist Legal Stagings: The Visualization, medialization, and Ritualization of Law in Language, Literature, Media, Art, and Architecture (Museum Tusculanum Press, 2012). He co-edited with Stephen C. Hicks Globalization and the U.S. Law School: Comparative & Cultural Perspectives 1906 – 2006 (Lund University Press, 2009).
