Margo A. Bagley, Vice Dean and Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law. Bagley is a distinguished scholar specializing in various international intellectual property topics, in particular international patent law. With a background in chemical engineering, she has previously worked in industry with companies such a Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola. Bagley has also consulted for the UN, the African Union, and other international bodies. In addition, she has served as a visiting scholar at prestigious institutions, including most recently, Harvard University. At Emory, she teaches courses on domestic and international patent law, trademark law, and international intellectual property. Her work in the area of law and religion focuses primarily on how issues of patent law and intellectual property law impact the distribution of justice in society. In particular, she examines the moral implications, social risks, and potential benefits associated with pharmaceutical pricing, biotechnologies, and artificial intelligence.
