Allard part of award-winning immigration group

CSLR Associate Director Silas Allard is part of an immigration initiative that won the Partnership Impact Award from the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta. Immigration Working Group is a partnership among Alston & Bird LLP, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, King & Spalding LLP, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, Troutman Sanders LLP and several other organizations and nonprofits.
The Immigration Working Group was formed to help meet the need for legal services to assist unaccompanied immigrant children entering the United States, and its role expanded to include pro bono services to victims of detention, deportation, and court caseloads. The group brought KIND (Kids in Need of Defense), a nonprofit that focuses on immigrant children, to Georgia.
Allard is a scholar of religion and immigration.
