Curriculum Vitae

    John A. Bernau is the Director of Digital Scholarship at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University. As a sociologist, his research focuses on the use and evolution of language – especially in religious contexts – and has appeared in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Poetics, and Sociological Perspectives, among other outlets. He is passionate about statistics, philosophy of science,  and recent developments in computational social science.

    John Bernau received his PhD in Sociology from Emory University and a BA in Sociology and Philosophy from the University of Iowa. More information can be found on his website: johnabernau.com.
